We often refer to our services as “gathered worship,” because we believe every moment of our lives is to be lived “to the glory of God.” In other words, we should always be worshiping! Each Sunday, we gather to praise God as a church family, fulfilling the command to “teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (Colossians 3:16).
What to Expect
A typical service at CBC includes singing, Scripture reading, prayer, and preaching. We generally preach through books of the Bible. We sing songs, from ancient to brand new, that are rich in the gospel and magnify Christ (you can listen to some of the songs we regularly sing here). We also regularly participate in Communion together, and occasionally include readings from historic church creeds and prayers. Our services generally last about 75 minutes.
